Health Canada warns against injecting peptides bought online, naming BPC-157 and TB-500
The advisory says unauthorized products have never been reviewed for safety, quality or effectiveness.
Health Canada published a public advisory on April 9 urging people not to buy or use unauthorized injectable peptide products marketed online and on social media for anti-aging, bodybuilding or wellness.
The agency names BPC-157 and TB-500 among examples of unauthorized injectable peptides it has seized, along with retatrutide and others, and says many more exist. Because the products have not been reviewed, it warns they may contain the wrong dose or contaminants.
Legal commentary notes that "research use only" labels do not make a product lawful for human use in Canada.
