The label does not change what the product is. Selling an unapproved drug for human use is illegal regardless of the disclaimer.
The evidence
Health Canada has stated that unauthorized injectable peptides, including BPC-157 and TB-500, are illegal to sell for human use and cannot be assessed as safe or effective. In the US, the legal pathway for compounding BPC-157 and similar peptides was in flux during 2026; the "research use only" label does not create a legal route to human use.
